General
No. When you see me privately, there’s no waiting list — you can usually start within a week.
If you come through Therapeutisch Centrum Leiden with a GP referral, your sessions may be reimbursed by Dutch public insurance. Even then, there’s no waiting line compared to many other clinics.
• At Therapeutisch Centrum Leiden: With a GP referral, sessions are covered by Dutch basic health insurance.
• Private practice: I’m registered with an AGB code, so partial reimbursement is often possible depending on your insurer and policy.
I recommend asking your insurer what applies to you.
You don’t need to prepare much. If we agreed on intake paperwork, send it beforehand. Otherwise, just come as you are. The first session is about getting to know you and what you’d like support with — no pressure.
Therapy length varies depending on your goals and needs. Some people come for short-term support around a specific issue, while others choose longer-term work, especially when focusing on deeper patterns. I recommend starting with 10-12 initial sessions.
I work with adults (+18) experiencing anxiety, mood difficulties, stress, self-esteem issues, relationship patterns, identity questions, and the impact of past experiences or trauma. Read more here. (https://www.innercompasspsychology.org/services-pricing)
