My Story
I come from Georgia and bring curiosity, authenticity, and a multicultural perspective into my work as a psychologist. Having lived in Georgia, the Czech Republic, and the Netherlands, I’ve developed a strong awareness of how cultural context shapes personal experience, relationships, and emotional life.
My background in both medicine and psychology informs the way I understand human behavior — as complex, deeply personal, and shaped by individual stories. In therapy, I value openness, empathy, and genuine connection, and I work in a way that supports reflection, honesty, and growth.
I hold a bachelor’s degree in psychology from the University of New York in Prague and a master’s degree in counseling psychology from Webster Leiden. Through my training and supervised clinical internships, I have worked with a diverse international client base.
I see therapy as a collaborative process rather than a quick fix. Together, we explore your experiences, patterns, and goals in a supportive and practical way, helping you build insight, resilience, and meaningful change at your own pace.
Are we a good fit?
You might enjoy working with me if you:
-
Prefer in-person, online, or hybrid sessions.
-
Like a flexible, non-rigid approach.
-
Are open to exploring different methods and techniques until we find what works best for you.
-
Feel ready to look at your story with curiosity and take small steps between sessions to support your growth.
-
Are comfortable paying out-of-pocket, or would like to explore insurance coverage (this is possible through Therapeutiche Centrum Leiden if you mention my name and bring a referral from your GP — we’ll go over the details together once we meet).
-
Prefer to speak in English, Russian, or Georgian.
It might not be the best fit right now if you:
-
Prefer not to engage in any reflection or steps outside of our sessions.
-
Strongly seek a highly structured, protocol-only approach rather than a collaborative and flexible process.
-
Are currently experiencing, or have a history of, psychosis, severe substance use difficulties, or acute suicidal thoughts.
In such situations, more intensive psychiatric care or specialized treatment is often needed to ensure the right level of support and safety. My practice is best suited for individuals seeking help with mild to moderate challenges, where we can work together in a safe and manageable therapeutic setting.
